In Ames test using Salmonella tryhimurium(TA1535, TA1537, TA98, TA100), no. of revertant was not significant and dose-dependant in comparing each plate added Poreine Somatotrophin(PST) at dose levels of 625§¶/plate, 1,250§¶/plate, 2.500§¶/plate, 5,000§¶/plate. 10,000§¶/plate with control plate.
Micronucleus test was carried out in ICR mice subcutaneously treated with PST at three dose levels of 200§·/§¸, 400§·/§¸, 800§·/§¸. Compared with mice of negative control group, frequencies of RBC containing micronucleus of mice treated with PST at three dose levels were not significant.
Therefore, it was concluded that PST was not mutagenic agents.
